Is it just me or has this year just been sort of *blah* creatively speaking. I have had the WORST trouble with finishing stuff. I get a super idea, start it, get half way through and then the idea just completely abandons me.
I just hate it when that happens.
Recently I bought a little binding machine to see if I like it and I do. I found it as a close out at a local store. It used to sell for $80 and I got it for $20. Not as good as free but it'll do.
I have to admit that not having to worry about how I'll assemble the binding on a book gives me a lot more creative room in my brain.
Here is one of the cute little books that I did when I was in a very colorful mood.

I used one of
DD's old board books as my base.
Gessoed the heck out of it and then started painting. Then I found my puzzle piece templates and traced the pieces on the painted pages. DD still has one of those giant floor puzzles so I traced a couple of the edge pieces to make into pages. I kinda like the way it turned out.

Here is the front cover. I've been doing some of that tangle doodling and thought I'd try doing a bit of it with paints and wild colors.

Here it is standing up. I added some white pages for
journaling space. I think I like it.
It turned out very well. It's colorful, it's small, it has space to write in and it makes me smile.
I could get used to some of this paper stuff again.
