It's a Junco, slate colored with the usual white underbelly. Really adorable little birds. But this one has a white head. A slate Junco with a white head!
It's hard to get a good picture of him because the whole group that he hangs out with is always flying away when I come near the window to look at them. But when I can manage to look at him (before he sees me) I can see that his markings look very much like a parakeet I used to have. And his head shape is just a little different from a Junco. A little like a parakeet in that respect, too.
It'll be interesting to see if any females find him attractive enough to breed with him. We could end up with another set of Juncos.
